A visit to this thirteenth century village we guarantee will not disappoint. It is the smallest moated ‘bastide’in France and is officially listed as one of the plus beaux villages de France. Taking only a few minutes to walk around, it is a delightful place accessed through its only gate and across a pretty little bridge. Within the walls lies the Romanesque church, a museum of medieval life, antique shop, several craft shops and a crèperie. Outside the walls of this fortified village there is an exhibition of medieval weaponry where a medieval siege camp has been recreated. This is a must for children with regular daily hands-on shows in July and August. A medieval festival is held here on the third weekend in July
